Melrose Mountain hounds is a Co-Owned and Opporated Kennel. It is owned by Shane and Lisa Beddingfield of Flat Rock NC and Clint and Veronica Pace of Columbus NC.
Clint has been involved with Coonhounds his whole life. Clint and his father, David Pace, showed and hunted Black and Tan coonhounds under the Carolinas Black and Tans kennel name. The pride of the Kennel was GrCh Sandhills Misty who was a beautiful B&T female that was hard to beat in her day. Shane and Clint have had a freindship for almost 20 years and that friendship is the heart of Melrose Mountain Hounds as we know it today. Almost 10 years ago Shane and Clint introduced Lisa to the coonhound world. The first hounds together under the Melrose Mtn Hounds Kennel name was 7 years ago when we bought GrCh Melrose Mountain Lily and Melrose Mountain Mongo, a Red Tick brother and sister English Hound. 5 years ago we were blessed when Clint made the first cross under the Melrose Mtn Hounds banner and breed his female Carolina's Miss Divine (Miss) to WSCH GrNiteCh GrCH Shawnee Hills Beaujolais. From this first cross came Grch Melrose Mtn Lil Bit of Beau and GrCH Melrsoe Mtn Amazing Gracie. Many additions and several crosses have been made since then. We are very proud of our hounds, our bloodlines and the additions to our kennels.
